Westone um3x rc Terrible fit and doing my head in.

Hi there. New face on the forums here but with a problem.
At the moment this is driving me up the wall. Just got a pair of these yesterday and I'm having a rotten time trying to get these to fit. Almost to the point where I feel like smashing them and throwing them away.
I've tried star tips, Ety Flanges, shuretips and comply etc but they just won't stay in my ear at all. I've never had a problem with any other iem ever but this is starting to drive me up the wall, Not to mention that it feels like a total waste of money at this point.
Any ideas on anything what I could try or are these really difficult to fit in general? I'd Love To hear how they sound but after a day of trying i'm yet to do that. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks in advance

Welcome to head-fi

Sorry about your wallet.

To some extend, we all have fit problems using IEMs in general. It takes time to get used to, sometimes they keep falling no matter what we do, and other times we just get tired of them.

First: try with the smallest tips first and see how deep you're able to insert them, push (your ear canal should be long enough to not be affected) progressively increase the tip size. Cover your ears with your hands once inserted to see if you hear differences. See if they fall from your ears. I assume you're using the cable behind the ear, right?

If you want some other options: Return, trade, sell, reshell them to customs...

In case you want to keep them and not reshell them, you can always send them back for a custom fit

Please write down which headphones you've use and which ones you find comfortable to have a better idea.

Thanks for the reply, Yeah tried all that so I guess I'll have to get shot of them. Although I'll keep trying to get them to stay in Lol.
Not looking good at the moment though. Shame.
