The iBasso DX50 Thread - Latest firmware: 1.9.4 - January 24, 2016 - Page 526

iBasso is handling all the warranty work for MP4Nation on iBasso products.  I learned this after a LOT of back and forth eMails b/c the repair responsibility changed in mid-stream.  My player's pause/play button was non-functional.  After writing to iBasso (service@ibasso.com NOT the iBasso web site) I got really good response during the day in Eastern US.  Somebody in the Hong Kong area stays up all night to answer customer eMails.  They want to see a post office receipt picture by email to certify that you've sent it back to them (minus battery).  I sent a picture of the package too.  Then they FedEx an inspected unit back to you (also no battery - use the one you didn't send back) before they receive your failed unit.  I've been waiting for a tracking number from iBasso for a couple days so I'm holding my breath.

A little confused here but iBasso told me to contact MP4Nation for rma since I bought mine from MP4Nation. May I know where did you buy yours? Or maybe you could PM me if it's convenient for you. Thanks in advance.

No, but everything works with the screen off and the lock switch turned down.

The unit is on, I push the card in, select scan sd card, media scanning initiates but only for a few seconds before bouncing back to the menu. I've tried a reset but it hasn't fixed the problem. This is on FW 1.2.5. Any suggestions? Cheers.

Mine did the same on 1.2.5 and after trying different cards, even formatting and reloading my 64gb card, I did a reset from the recovery menu and that finally solved it.

That did the trick - thanks for the tip!

Yup got that, the thing is the power button might experience some fatigue every time you check what's playing? Or am I just being tooc cautious hahaha:D

Hello All,
I just ordered my DX50 11 batch from ibasso. I have a question if I buy a micro disc card insert it into the DX50 (empty), can I drag and drop directly to the player, or do I have to fill the card directly from my laptop?

Regards
Jeff

Hello every one

Is there anybody from Vancouver (or anywhere in Canada) that already has dx50? :D

I want to know that how much does dx50 cost to you (including all taxes, shipping and Customs cost)?

thanks

Jeff, You can do but it's not the fastest method, it seems like the player is only capable of USB 1.1 speeds. A card reader has been the best method for me thus far.

Hmm don't think so, but i barely check what's playing. I know most of the music that's in my DX50, so if i'm turning the screen on, mostly is to change discs.

Takes forever, but you can do it. I still do it mostly out of habit, but the DAP needs to rescan the SD card after that, and it doesn't do it completely, so you're better off just taking out the SD card.

I have but not much reason, just adds bulk.

Given some of the stacks I've seen in the portable photos thread? Not that much bulk.
