Hey guys, does anyone here have problems getting the DX50 to recognise their 64gb micro sdxc card formatted to fat 32?

Thanks

No, both of mine were recognized instantly after reformatting. Are you sure it was FAT32 that was selected for the format?

well it says fat 32 in windows after being formatted by easeus partition. The cards work fine on my note 3. My 32 gb sd card works as the scan feature comes up. Both my sandisk and toshiba 64gb cards don't work as the dx50 just does not recognise it at all.

It didn't recognize mine at all. Even when I reformatted it to exFAT.

For those who have problems with their sandisk microsd card, maybe these two links from sandisk support forum can help:

I have a similar issue.

I formatted a SanDisk 64gb card in exFAT and put it in my DX50.  When the DX50 is connected to my computer (XP Professional), the card is recognized, but the contents cannot be viewed and the computer indicates the card is unformatted.

Fortunately, the DX50 recognizes the card, scans and plays the music without a problem.

To all microSD card owners, getting a card reader is worth every penny. I got myself a USB 3.0 compatible card reader and was able to increase throughput by a factor of 3 connecting it to a USB 3.0 port. Another thing I discovered, I have an older microSD SDHC card and the DX50 refuses to read it even on the OTG line. My two SDXC SanDisk cards work fine either through theDX50 or card
reader. I formatted one of them as exFat quick format and it worked flawlessly.

Hope everything is fine with yours.

here's a question for you musicheaven, my card reader is built into my laptop and tends to get hot sometimes. does this happen with your external reader? I'm thinking it may be getting hot because the reader is inside my laptop

Today i downloaded fw 1.2.5 to My DX 50
I heard Only 5 variative songs than i Return to My previous fw 1.2.2

In My opinion : fw 1.2.2 is better than The latest fw 1.2.5 In term
Fw 1.2.5
High : is not as Clear and clean abd not so focus
Mid : First time i heard more natural , After a White is lacik OF clarity , not clean and clear.
Bass : a bit Boomy , fw 1.2.2 has better bass impact and detail
Separation : is not as Clear like fw 1.2.2
Soundstage : fw 1.2.2 wider and deeper

Overall : fw 1.2.2 SQ is more pronounce and more Clear and clean and has better Speed
Fw 1.2.5 is so bort For Me

IMO

I have one I used, my meenova card reader that I connect onto the DX50 micro USB input, that one heats up but my USB 3.0 microSD reader is cool and is definitively outside my PC. I guess it all depends on the implementation. As long as it does not start a fire or melt plastic, you're good to go. wink.gif

I have always believed that if its not broken don't fix it........1.2.2 is as far as I have upgraded FW and I have a fear of change when so many have said problems and audio changes with 1.2.5 have occurred, and not for the better.  Therefore, I shall stay with 1.2.2 until I hear that any changes will not jeopardize what works.  I was 3rd batch so have upgraded to where it works for me.........

yea that's what I figured, it just gets a little warm.

I also noticed that on one of my older microsd adapters that the old one gets way hotter and the brand new one stays cool

Flash chips are okay up to about 55-60C (130-140F). That's second degree burn temperature, so if your skin isn't blistering when you touch it then it isn't too hot.
