Did you ask ibasso this? Like do a long press on play all music heading? Or albums etc. I'm surprised if they didn't include this as they are making like you should be able to from that last email you posted....

i try on my dx50 and after long press....nothing happen at the screen...and what they mean is if i check at now playing list..those are the songs that will be played....

so if like if you go into all music..and if you play the first song....the 2nd song wouldnt be play unless you go and select it again in the all music section~....this is damn funny :(

Wow that doesn't make sense at all? This was never an issue on the DX100.... So they basically agreed that this is an issue that they must fix and you can't play all your music randomly? I know it can be a bit tricky communicating with them due to the language barrier....

I just got to listen to the DX50 after it arrived this morning and it is absolutely stunning and exceeded my expectations by far. Way better than the X3 a bit better that the stock AK100 by memory and about 80% of my HDP-R10. iBasso have definitely created a winner DAP at $239 which competes well with DAPs twice it's price. Also sounds better than the Studio V from memory. It is very neutral and even a bit on the warmer side  actually a bit on the brighter side, sorry, but I have to wait for it to burn in to properly review it. I don't see how people can possibly expect more in a budget minded DAP.

Bass is very well textured and full bodied. Great detail, but not bloated at all, unlike the X3. Great extension and nice impact with IEMs. Each drum beat almost has the perfect amount of impact and it does not linger any longer than it should. I haven't tried it with headphones, but I doubt that it will be great with my hard to drive HD600.

Mids have great detail and vocals are a tiny bit thinner than those of my HDP-R10 and of course, the X3. Separation is awesome, but you can see how it lags behind TOTL DAPs. I do feel that it is very very slightly recessed for some reason with my GR07 MKII which does not have recessed mids at all.

Treble is maybe a bit exaggerated and already bright headphones can sound a bit harsher with it that with another DAP such as the Fiio X3. I would not recommend this to people who already find their IEMs bright. Great detail and very realistic decay though. I do prefer this treble to the rolled off one of the X3.

Soundstage and instrument separation is also great. The soundstage is bigger than the X3's, but loses out by a mile to the HDP-R10, but that is to be expected at this price range. Instrument separation is better and lags slightly behind the HDP-R1- but still better than everything close to it's price.

Only downsides is that the plug is very tight and I am afraid that it may damage the jacks on my IEMs and HPs. It has also frozen after 5 minutes of use, but after that it was completely fine. Another thing is that I wished that iBasso made a case for this since I am rather scared of scratching that wonderful back casing.

After an hour, I have realised that it takes about 1/2 a second to skip the song and for some reason it also skips roughly that much of the next song. Not such a big deal though...

After a bit more, it seems like it skips 1/2 a second of every song. WTF??? This part is is only true problem of the DX50 IMO, but it can be easily fixed with a firmware update.

Well done iBasso and thanks again for sending me such a wonderful player.

Not sure, cause I had a long day at school... It sounds very neutral so far, but has a tiny tiny bit more bass than my HDP-R10, but like other DAPs that I have owned, this problem goes away after some burn in. Sounds gorgeous with my GR07 MKII.

Could you exlaborate how the DX50 is 80% of the DX100. What is the 20% differential?

Seriously though, the DX100 offers more separation, a significantly bigger soundstage and more detail. The sound is simply cleaner, but not as much as the price may suggest.

:D

that's a serious loss in functionality IMO.

After playing with the DX50 for 2 days, I have now sold my AK120.

It also look great in a stack (courtesy from a friend who is loving it with his International and 334) :

Don't get me wrong, AK120 still sound unmistakably better than DX50 (both standalone) to the "audiophiles", but the gap is small enough for me to part with my AK120 that I used for 4 months.

I'm thinking of selling my HDP-R10...

I would throw in iHIFI760 (just released), iHIFI812V2 and Colorfly CK4+ in the same price range.

I will have IHIFI 760 in about a weeks time, and to my understanding a DX50 audition not long after. (I think)

I can write up a quick comparison,.
