so does it matter which you get?

Both your links show 'Near Field Communication' under 'SAMSUNG' logo on back side.

Just pulled the trigger on one of these last night after hearing that most of the bugs have been quashed. Is the UI completely text directory based? Can you browse albums by cover like on iOS?

I had sent an email to iBasso team about whether it is possible to have USB Audio output by firmware or not, they said it is not possible to have it. DX50 won't have USB Audio output. So folks, don't dream for it like I did :frown:

No, but you get pretty pictures on the side of the text when you scroll down on the Album directory. Does that work?

Tell them the X3 is considering to implement it, or even the X5. That changed the responses from "No" to "We'll consider it when the DAP is more stable" when we asked about a possible DAC implementation. I really don't care about the DAC implementation though...

Yeah that works actually, sounds a lot like scrolling down in iOS, I just need a quick visual identifier for fast scrolling. I was afraid it'd be like stock Foobar with just text. Reason being that some of my music is gonna be tagged with kanji/hiragana and I can't read it

Well, I already lost my hopes but if they do something in the future, sure someone will have a good use of it.

Ah Poos.

There goes my hefty DX50/Hifi-M8 stack dream.

Obi Wan,... I mean X5...you`re our only hope!

got mine 1.1.6 which functions fine and I decided to update to 1.2.2.

after the update, I experience hang ups - eg. froze when I access the 'advanced menu', froze when I played music randomly

every time it froze/hang I need to hard reset. I also tried reflashing the unit again with 1.2.2 but it always got stuck at 'system' check :(

now I'm clueless, any suggestion? did I got a lemon?

Did you do a factory reset after installing the firmware?

yes, I did, every time it hangs, I did the factory reset - both power + volume up and settings - advanced

getting annoyed with DX50, the DX100 was less problematic for me

Anyone having problems with auto shutdown with 1.2.2?   It doesn't work for me.   Every night i listen to the dx50 in bed and fall asleep.  Every morning it is still on and feeling really warm - even though it wasn't even playing anything.  Can someone running 1.2.2 test the auto off on their dap to check?  Thanks.
