Thanks! Looks like they stack very nicely - but you need to get some dual lock and ditch the rubber bands man! :D

Judging by the input from you and the rest of the guys here, the pairing is sonically darn good as well. I won't be going the DB2/PB2 route, a triple stack is just too darn much for me - no to mention grotesquely overpowered for my (c)iems. Ideally I'd go with the F-35 Lightning, but the size just kills it for me. Sounds stupid, but I want something that stacks properly. Right now the only downsides to the Intruder or SR71-B seem to be the price and the fact that the line in is on the back, not the front. (Yes, I get annoyed by odd things)

The DX50 + Intruder is a nice idea lol

Also I'm considering to change the DX100, but I'm still curious with the secret 'APP' for it. Could be a game winner? lol

I've had my DX100 since it came out and I love the thing. But the DX50 is just so much better when it comes to UI and paired with a nice amp the SQ is right up there as well. And unlike the DX100, I can split the stack and chose to only bring the DAP with me. And no, I don't have any "heavy" headphones like the T1, HE-6 or crazy things like those. I'm strictly an IEM kinda guy when it comes to music - actually my only fullsize headphones are the Corsair Vengeance 2000 :D

Just curious and its no big deal but I have that new toy syndrome so can anyone on the US East give me a rough estimate as to how long it takes to receive from iBasso?

I would be getting a dx50 and an iem soon, I might be in the same dilemma lol

I will check it out, but it may take me a while.  My plan is to 1.  Listen to the DX50 directly for a while.  Get to learn it's signature and let it do any burn in necessary.  (Some believe in burn in, some don't.  I do.)  2.  Listen with Intruder for a while.  After that, I will 3.  check out the Neco and let you know.

Right now I mainly use the Neco in my garage as a pre-amp for ipod touch>80W Pioneer>Sansui speakers.

So did you mean that DX50 line out is better than the ak100?

I know.  I will try to work something out.  That was actually only the 2nd time I stacked them, and it was only to take the picture.  I haven't decided what the final connectivity situation will be.

But I actually don't mind the rubber bands too much.  :gs1000smile:

+1 about being particular with stacking.  I am actually eyeing a P51 Mustang to go with my nano.  Only thing holding me back is the price vs how much I actually use it.  I only use it occasionally while on the go.

Not surprising. The is NO lineout on the AKs. I also prefer the lineout on DX50 over my AK120's phone out, whether going into desktop amp or a pair of active speakers (dynaudio xeo3).

Wow, this is interesting.

I'm leaning more and more towards selling my DX100 to fund a better amp for use with the DX50...

People claim that when u max the vol on AK u will get a true line out, but it sounds awful...

People also claim that this thing works. I don't trust people.

I haven't stopped using a portable amp, to me it's worth the price.

But the 846 feels to me nicer straight onto both AK n DX... Perhaps rsa house sound not very matching? n I am looking into adding another amp, considering VorzAMPduo, International or RxMK3, any comment pls?

RSA sound is warm sound zig , RSA + Shure SE 846 has not so good synergy .
With alo international plus Shure SE 846 are very good synergy
Vorzuge Duo power wise is Not so big to drive Shure se 846 to excellent SQ
Alo Rx 3 B has hiss with all shure iems
Maybe alo Rx 3 B+ is better , I am the demo unit next week

IMO
