Has anybody paired their DX50 with a Leckerton UHA-6S.MKII?

I'm thinking of getting one of these to pair with my DX50 either by line out or via Coaxial. I also believe that the DAC will work with the iPad via an Apple CCK and also if I want to as a USB sound card for my laptop via USB.

Interested In hearing anyone's opinion on how this sounds with DX50 via LO or CoAx and also how it fits size wise against the DX50.

Yeah, unless you're running like Windows ME, or haven't updated your OSX since I think Leopard, the OS supports it.

I never thought I would say this but the DX50 is clearly superior in sound compared to my x3. Not to say the x3 is poor by any means, but to my ears I definitely prefer the sound of the DX50. As for the UI, it has froze on me about 8 times already in 1 weeks time, I'm sure future updates will remedy this soon.

Don't say that. I was gonna buy the DX50 but it was substantially more expensive and had to be ordered from overseas.

I'm currently looking for a DAP to replace my current portable rig - iPhone 4 + Fiio E17.

I've now got my mind set on the DX50, but had a few questions

1. Might be a stupid question, but will I see a noticable difference with my current setup? (I plan to use Future Sonics MX5 earphones)

2. Would it be recommended to carry on using the E17 with DX50 or could I just get away with using the DX50 on it's own?

3. Can the DX50 drive my HE400 headphones?

Thanks

I would still buy it as the less buttons you press on it the chances of it freezing on you. But I can only speak for myself and say the sound out ways any issues I'm experiencing now. If you by from mp4nation you get some free buds and a deal on the DX50 and 2 day shipping for the 6th batch I believe.

Why only a Max of 16gb? Why not a 64 gb!

My personal impression AK 100 vs DX 50 pair With Tralucenr T1:

Source : AK 100 With listrid 2.00
DX 50 With fw 1.1.6
Amp : Tralucent T1
Iem : Earsonic S EM 6
Cable : Tralucent. UBER mini to mini
Music file : WAV
AK 100 : use headphone out
DX 50 : use line out
Vol : i set both on Max

High :
AK 100 : has cleaner and extended High
DX 50 : has not so Clear and clean High than AK 100

Mid :
AK 100 : has better pronounce and more body and cleaner than DX 50
DX 50 : not AS clean and less body than AK 100

Bass :
AK 100 : has better bass impact , more detail and cleaner yah DX 50
DX 50 : bass impact is very Good , but below AK 100 and not as clean AS AK 100

Soundstage :
AK 100 : has wider and deeper too
DX 50 : less wide and Depth than AK 100

Separation :
AK 100 : has better music separation
DX 50 : slighly below AK 100

Background :
AK 100 : has better black background
DX 50 : not as black than AK 100

DX 50 is very Good DAP until 400 USD ,

AK 120 is refinement from AK 100 or RWA AK 100, if you like SQ from AK than AK 120 is
The right Choice For you , but not Your walet
Or you can buy IBasso HDP R10 as another alternative DAP

My IMO

I will still keep my X3 as it sounds awesome, I will have to wait for the " new toy syndrome" to wear off before I listen to the X3 more.

yeah I like the X3 so far, just seems most people prefer the DX50. Was $70 extra compared to the X3 though, for me.

Some flavors of Linux, of which mine is one, do not read the exFAT format. A small concession to avoid the use of Windoze.
