What you are referring to is really v1.1.6. Latest following that is v.1.2.0. You might wish to wait a bit, as there should be another update coming soon.

When the next firmware is released, you should be able to add complete albums to a playlist. If you put all the albums from your artist into a playlist, that should accomplish what you want to do. Most folks requested that the Artist tab be listed by albums rather than all the music of that particular artist.

Ok, the DX50 just went into a startup loop. I have v1.2 installed. but Didn't yet remove the img file and reset the DX50.

Right now, it keeps hanging at iBasso Audio, and it blinks every two seconds or so. Also, when I turn it off, I hear an audible click!

What do I do? D:

pull out the battery and sd card. on the sd card, put the update.img in the root. put everything back in, and press vol up+power to turn on and boot into recovery. you could either try wiping and rebooting the DX50, or reflash from sd card, and then boot up normally.

the audible click is just the relays in the amp section working normally. nothing to worry about!

Thanks! Pretty nifty that recovery menu, not bad at all. I was expecting a bricked DX50!

When plugging the DX50 into my pc, when turned off, I see the green charging bubble. But it goes into this connecting loop with my pc, generating that annoying bleep sound when a new device is connected via usb. Does anyone else experience this?

We are at the same boat :) I've just turned off my laptop sound in order to get rid of annoying sound.

:D

I just turn it on, you'll see the connected to usb screen, and it only connects once. But yeah, still more than enough bugs to keep the ibasso programmers busy.

you're welcome! the DX50 runs android, that was the android recovery menu you were in. Glad you fixed it!

As for the beeping sound, yeah, it happens, thats why i just charge mine through a usb wall charger.

Remove and replace the battery to stop the frozen startup. Then press the power button and volume up button until the Restore program appears. Select Wipe/Factory reset. That should clear your problem. I had the same problem and the Wipe/Factory reset fixed it. That will also delete the update .img file, so no need to do another factory reset. This issue has happened a number of times with v1.2. No need to reinstall the firmware, as it has likely already installed.

The Album view is accessible on my DX50 running v1.2.0. and all my albums are shown correctly. You just need to scroll down using a finger drag to see it.

Same here no issues with album covers with v1.2.0. I had some missing but that was iTunes' fault not iBasso's.

Mine did that too but I put it in recovery mode and then selected factory reset and it came back ok, now it's working like a charm.

To put it in recovery mode, you select the power on button and the volume + together until the recovery mode display comes on, then you move the menu list with the volume up and down button, when you have the correct factory reset menu item highlighted, you press the power button, let it factory reset and you should be golden. I removed my sd card before factory resetting the dap.

Never mind looks like you got it fixed, good for you! wink.gif
