Haven't heard the BE's, but the regular GR07 would be considered neutral/warm. I would venture to say that the BE's would be considered warmish as well, a tad more so.

The GR07 MKII isn't that warm at all IMO. There is a bit of a treble spike which can sometimes make cymbals sound a bit sibilant.

Neutral to bright signature....exactly what I'm looking for!
I tried the X3 with my SM64 and it sounded a bit too warm for me.

Didn't call it warm. Called it neutral with a slight warm tilt. The mids are still warm and sweet. Plenty of reviews that confirm that. Like I said, I can't comment on the BE's, other than speculation.

How would to dx50 compare to clip zip on it's signature?

It is still difficult for me.

Anyone with a pair of ES10 or CK100 Pro try it with the DX50 yet? How does it sound?

I'd like to know if it can drive the Mad Dogs unamplified. Ta

It's on the DX50 order page. It says 3.1V at high gain which is about 300mW into 32ohms.

ok, dicking around aside, which portable amp are you thinking about?

Any portable amp will do. Justt would like some perspective seeing the DX50 on a RX3B for example

Yes, it drives the LCD3 as well or even better than my AK120.

I won't say DX50 is bright at all. It is just not as dark or warm as the typical 8740 implementation. It is still a bit on the warm side esp on high gain.

@K2C2, I know it is to early to tell, but would you say the DX50 is 80% SQ of the AK120? Still awaiting mine, probably will have it early next week.
