The mad dogs are 80% of my HE500s and they are superb. I got them so I could have a closed can and its one of the best purchased I've made. A bit more confortable than the HD600s but a bit heavier also. I lied, I tried the momentums at JB Hifi and it was not so great.

The HD600 is very light, but because your one is basically new, the headband still need a bit of break in.

Is that why the clamping force feels a little tight?

I think the guy who asked was looking for something $200 and under. Mad Dogs are over that price...so are Momentums normally.

We can all say what sounds better...mad dogs...hd500 - HD650...but fact is that "normally" those cans cost more than what the guy has to spend. In his price point...what other cans fit the bill?

Beyerdynamic DT-770 Limited Edition - still sorta regretting that I sold mine.

Has anyone else tried the DX50 with the ATH-EW9 (NOT the ESW9!)?

I have found the result to be interesting: wide soundstage, good transparency, very fast. The downside is limited bass extension. This is all unamped, on low gain.

I tried using EQ to bring up the lower octaves, but preferred the result without (greater transparency).

We'll see what the fees are with EMS this time. :) Btw this is Canada, where customs and postal services are relatively crappy.

Did you have an options to choose the shipping method? Cause when I ordered from iBasso, there was no option. it was only 'express shipping (with tracking number)'. Canada as well.

You can email them after ordering to request. Won't get refunds for cheaper/slower options tho...

I've joined the club and so far I'm liking it. There a number of firmware issues: freezing, random volume dropouts, and one massive, sudden rise, and a few minor accessories.

However, it is so easy to use even in comparison to the DX100. I would consider it the nicest audiophile player I've tried in many ways.

Great Pics, Shigzeo. Still liking the SA7?
