The iBasso DX50 Thread - Latest firmware: 1.9.4 - January 24, 2016 - Page 170

I know most people here are using Flac files, but I was wondering if anyone here that is able to get .aac files to show up in their DX50. I have some iTunes albums that I bought and they do not read in the player.

Got my USB 3.0 card reader and did a test; copied a 1gb file and timed the copy plus recorded the average speed:

From the DX50 the transmission on a USB 3.0, 2.0 downward compatible port took 5 minutes ans showed an average speed of 3.5 MB/sec

From my USB 3.0 compatible card reader, it took 1 minute and 47 seconds with an average speed was 9.5 MB/sec.

It's nowhere near the full 3.0 speed but a factor of 3 is a heck of an improvement. smily_headphones1.gif

If and when I buy this will they put the newest update on there, or is it when they box it up that's what you get. I can not wait to get mine and I'm not sure how much longer I can hold out.

It's so easy to flash the firmware when you get the hang of it that it's not even worth worrying about if it has the latest or not wink.gif

I'm using a Sandisk and it's very smooth, not tight at all.

I've read so many stories of how it does not take right away and they have to redo it many times. Also there is about 5 different ways on this thread alone. Just hoping to plug and play. There has been a few updates for my X3 and I just leave that one as well..

I have always used the same method and was always able to get it done on the first try. I don't take any chances and empty the internal memory, copy the image to the internal memory and follow the instructions in the readme file except for the section where it says connect to a USB port. I make sure that I am disconnected from the USB port before I go through the flashing process.

Thanks, I will give that a shot.

how did you remove it? straight pull out?

you know you are suppose to click it in and the card will eject by itself....right?

I read the first 20 pages of the thread and think I'll pick up a LNIB model so I don't have to wait. I'd just like to confirm that ALAC files play smoothly before paying.

Hi, I received my DX50 today and I muss say I´m loving it!!! It is quite a change from Cowon, ipod and Sansa Clip. I have to test it with my headphones. I´m glad I did get it no regrets and looking forward to get more impressions.
