When they come out with 2tb micro cards, they will probably NOT be in the xc format.   Probably should not bank on that type of capacity with micro cards for the dx50.

Hi Friends.

I have been reading this thread since it's beginning as I want to buy the DX50.

Regarding the micro SD slot on the DX50, I understand that there's only 1 slot.

can you advise which card to use (storage size as I want to load it with 24bit files and I need lots of space.

Thanks in advance for your help.

a lot above have mentioned what card they using~..

i am using 64gb sandisk class 10 micro sd and format it in fat32 so that i can use it on fiio x3 as well~ so far no issue at all..

Yes, the 64gb is the max for micro right now.   The sandisk one described above is the most common and has proven to be pretty reliable on many devices.   However, I would not recommend formatting to fat32 since exFAT is supported by the DX50.   From my understanding, you cannot revert back to exFAT after formatting to fat32.   To preserve the flexibility of your card, keep it in exFAT if possible.

you can revert back by formatting it with your windows 7/8 but....by formatting..you lose all your content which you already loaded to the card~

Guys, I just heard the Astrotec AX60 and it pairs perfectly with the DX50...
Might have to buy it after all but luckily I have a week loan to decide.

When I push the power button, again there is a small green circle with the word CHARGED in it. Problem is I cannot access the menu. Also, will the charger for DX100 work with DX50? Hope to hear from our experts here. Cheers

Did you actually turn it on? It sounds like you are just getting the charging screen. Try holding down the power button a bit longer?

Thanks for the input guys.

Are 24bit files playing correctly or was this not fixed by the latest update?

Works perfectly fine for me except for 24/192 tracks.
Pretty funny that they run on half speed IMO :D

Btw, mp4nation is now also selling dx50 ($239) and comes with a free pair of Brainwavz M4 or M5, free fedex to select countries or just free Singpost shipping for the other countries. Still a bit better bargain then straight from ibasso coz shipping's free and you get a free iem.

Great deal! Thanks, but I think that IEM deal is only for a limited amount of time. I listened to the X3 and it was lacking a lot next to the DX50. It was darker and the DX50 was cleaner and had a larger soundstage with more detail.

The build quality of the X3 is more solid though, I cannot deny that even though I really like the DX50. IT does look much better than the X3, especially with that err case that looks like a .... Well you know what it looks like, just look at the past few pages.
