You should get it fixed by iBasso, they do it for free during the one year warranty as long as you pay for shipping it to them, they'll ship it free to you. As far as it dying, if it is just a mechanical issue (contacts are bad due to plug insertions), you can buy those plugs on the web, mouser and digikey should have the connector available. You'll need to do some soldering to the board. if you have enough courage, you'll need to open up the player and check the connector shape, then go to one of those sites and type 3.5 mm female plug.

Is the warranty still valid if I bought it 2nd hand?

Hi, wanted to share some thoughts about dx50 / a900x + e12 amp. I'm the happy owner of dx50 and I have to admit that despite the richness of sound, in some music genres (rock, hip-hop) it lacks the depth in lower registers (In my case). I use balanced a900x, the vocals and mids are fantastic but still lacks depth and downforce in bass If you know what I mean. Apparently something can be changed with equalizer but I preferred not to use it at all. So... invested in e12 (hesitated between it and bh2) and I have to say... damn! The sound is fuller, richer, scene is even a little wider but what is most important to me, lows are now f a n t a s t i c, bass is huge when it should be! It seems that for those not V-shaped cans, the amp is must have for DX50.

I agree that am ping the DX50 does improve sound quality and bass response. I use a Headstage Arrow 4G which is the size and shape of a credit card and has great features such as adjustable treble, bass and crossovers. Check it out.

It's this ;) have fun!

I'm struggling between this firmware and 1.2.8

custom firmware offers:

-spacious soundstage

-better instrument separation

-airy sounding

but lacking in:

-bass depth

-bass quantity

-thin body

1.2.8 sounds thicker, with more bass quantity and deepness. however it lacks of spaciousness. custom firmware is more detailed sounding as well.

custom firmware is more revealing.

and oh, vocal position and mids instrument placement is kinda different. it feels like the mid is recessed in custom firmware and vocal is slightly forwarded.

Forget the first Sound Explosion, it's now Mega. For me Doc 2008 has done something really rather special:-)

Sounds great, a DX-50 transformed. Extremely well done DOC2008.

Note: the links are via Bing Translator, so you need to go direct to the link after translator asks you.

-I think IT was your dream

-the thought-it looks like it's time to sell the R10

-never thought that poltinniček might AS WELL play. DX90 standard and x 5 IMHO nervously smoking in aside

DOWNLOAD MEGA

Just reporting in about the issue I was having with my DX50 not playing songs in order randomly a week or two ago.

A solution was never found though reinstalling the firmware and leaving gapless off I haven't had it occur again.

A question, did DOC2008 also release any firmware mods for the dx90?
