Just search their website. Find a couple of candidates that have the features you like and then read reviews on those. I had the same need for an in line DAC as well as wanted Bluetooth, but I went with the DX50 for sound quality and usability and I'm really delighted. I use an old Itouch in my car with Bluetooth, and I use.a DacPort in line USB DAC when I'm on the computer. Great sol'n for me.

I am currently using a Clip Zip for portable usage and a Fiio D03K or UD100 for desktop usage. Would really love to just have an all-in-one solution too! (Since the Clip Zip is starting to give me strange problems)

Actually, they pop up on the classifieds every now and then.

See? (Although I'm not sure if they're sold or not). (Click to show)

The J3 doesn't have a USB DAC function though. For an all-in-one solution, off the top of my head I can think of the FiiO X3, DX50 or DX90 when iBasso enables the USB DAC capability. I don't like AK products so I won't be recommending them.

Ah, I was referring to local shops. Looks like the X3 will do then (DX90 is way too expensive...)

In that case yup as it's been discontinued some time ago. I recommend the DX50 over the X3 as the sound UPgrade (not sidegrade imho) is worth it for the waiting time.

Is the DX50 getting USB DAC capability confirmed or just a speculation based on what happened to DX90?

Confirmed by iBasso apparently. Don't remember which post exactly but I definitely remember seeing it on their website.

Good to know that my friend. smily_headphones1.gif but do you think the dx50 plus jds c5 amp will be a good combo for the hd600?

No experience with that amp but DX50 and HD600 together are great, and if you use a quality amp things will likely improve, I think there's an upper level of what you can get out of this level of equipment. The next level requires a serious headphone amp, DAC, and better headphones. That's what I'm currently working on. Waiting for a DNA Stratus!

I love my JDS Labs C5 w/DX50, but I use iems, so it's really apples and tomatoes as far as your question is concerned.

I have DX50 and HD600 paired together atm, best results with high gain. To be quite honest it sounds really decent.

Really brings out HD600 treble detail, bass is solid. Not bad at all.

If you're using high gain, I don't think you'd need an amp (although improvements can be probably be had)
