joking of course
When you look at it closely, you're actually poorer by having both, even if you sell it you'll still loose.
I'm going to sell DX50, but it's true, I'm actually poorer. Unfortunately, this is the dark side of the pursuit of the perfect sounding source :(

BTW, I took a look at the 90's thread, and people there are talking about battery life, sound quality (some don't like the newest fw), when another fw will be released, etc.
I'm aware this will be subjective but in my opinion the difference between DX90 and DX50 (for me) is the same as the difference between Samsung Galaxy SII (Poweramp'ed) and DX50. This is a qualitative leap. When I first listened to DX50 after SGSII there was no WOW factor, but rather over time I experienced a greater musicality, separation and better sound sustain. In the case of DX90 after several seconds I had a smile on my face.
I made my comparison on CAL! headphones first and there was almost no difference between DX50 and DX90 except for the bass (greater with DX90) so I changed cans to ATH-a900x and the difference was significant.
I will be comparing DX90 2.0.0 to DX50 1.2.8 (didn't listen DX90 with 2.0.5 but I have read many bad comments about it so I'm not going to upgrade at least for now). After several seconds of listening I realized that there is more "air" between instruments, it's even easier to locate sound sources now, sound layers are better separated and stereo imaging is much more widely. The sound comes from the far left, far right, even slightly from the back of the head. There is no point from which it comes, sound is all around and this is the biggest change that I experienced.
Take a sample track: "Balligomingo - I Just Tell Myself" to find it out.
Another thing is "quality" of certain sounds. It seems to me that many of the instruments sounds better, more credible. Especially guitars are far more better to me. I recommend a direct comparison of the guitar from "Coldplay - Yellow" on DX50 and DX90 or "The Corrs - Little Wing" (Unplugged Album) - where in addition guitar plays clearly on the far left side of the stage which was not as heard with DX50.
Another thing is the vocals. I doesn't have the impression that they are behind the entire layer of other sounds as it is in DX50. Now they are neither closer nor further, just are present and make a whole presentation.
