You don't need an amp as such. It's powerful enough to power the HD600. Leaving at around 225 is good enough for me and if you crank it to max you'll definitively turn deaf. I use an amp though, it's just my preference.

Same here. Got no freezing issue ever since I got it. All flacs(16 and 24bit) and some 320s. Happy camper here

finally got my heir audio rendition 1. Pairing it with my DX50 currently. The fit is almost spot on which is awesome.

So far bass seems a bit uncontrolled and messy, hopefully letting the two get to know each other with some burn in will resolve that

I used to suffer from constant freezing, but after I spent three days retagging my files and resetting my player several times, it's been running flawless.

I just received my dx50 from Fedex and immediately updated to 1.2.6.  I had some issue connecting  it to my pc with the cable they provided. I used my samsung galaxy s4 cable and it worked like a charm. It recognized instantly. The build quality is solid.

The accessories isn't that great tbh.. use what you have instead of those it came with.

I loved the simple UI, but it is a bit laggy. The touch screen is a bit too sensitive. It plays all my files and loaded all my cover arts. The sound quality is great.

I set everything off(sleep, auto shutdown and etc) except for the EQ and gapless playback.

No freeze and crash after 2 hour of usage. Media scan is quick. It only scanned when i play music from directory(5-15sec one folder)

The delay when changing/pausing/playing a song is bearable.

The only problem is play order from directory and time consuming to add music to playlist.

I tagged all my music with mp3tag and exported those music from foobar renaming file name with index. Also, i re-encoded my flacs from cue. The files are in order from 01-201 shown in directory, but when i play from directory it doesn't play accordingly.

I didn't try any of the previous firmwares, but i believe this player serves its purpose really well. Implementing a easier way to add files all from directory to playlist isn't hard. I quite like the fading effect for gapless playback as well. mainly because my music doesn't connect.

Some suggestion.

1. let the player play in order from directory based on file name/track#/artist. Or let it add to playlist in that order. (not sure if u can do this already, let me know how if u can thanks)

2. let us choose between the old gapless playback effect and the new fading effect.

Just ordered the silicon case from ibasso. Might consider getting a bigger battery too...

I wish it takes less time to charge the player to full thou.. 2-3 hour is a long time.

Just a quick question. How are you guys charging the DX50? I tried using one of those apple plug to USB jack things and it the DX50 doesnt seem to recognize that. I can only charge via laptop right now and that takes a good while :(

I don't really pay much attention to charging time, but im pretty sure it doesn't take over 2 hours.. for all new buyers of the dx50,i really believe having your music tagged properly helps the user experience of the dx50 too...

Quite surprised any 5 volt USB charger should work. I have my Apple chargers I use all the time and they work great. I have extra batteries so I use a Samsung S3 battery charger to charge the extra batteries that is when I remember. biggrin.gif

very simple, use USB cable from my iRiver and iPad wall adapter.
actually tried USB cable which came with DX50, can tell this is junk, for no clear reason my DX50 loves USB cable from AK100 but refuses to connect with iBasso supplied cable frown.gif

iBasso, if you listen, please stop sending junk USB cable and provide a proper one.
