Overall, usage seems to be a bit smoother, and less buggy, so I thought I'd share it with all of you.

NOTE

this is a beta version of the firmware. Use at own risk. Be patient if you're not experiencing any problems with your unit with the current firmware.

"This firmware should able to solve most of the problems on your DX50.

As we had many minor changes on this Firmware, we need to more time to test it. It is still a beta version. So far, it is stable.

Thanks to davtse above, you made our day! :beerchug:

I like the way they said they made changes; minor - this isn't minor to me

what do you think would be better for the DX50, C&C BH or the Ibasso D zero? these are the two choices im willing to buy. I dont care about the power as much as seperation and mostly transparent. If someone else has a suggestion for another amp or amp/dac in this price range i would like to hear that as well.

The D-Zero is a step down?

I have the C&C BH2 and C5 but I'm still listening to my Westone 4rs using the DX50 headphone out so I will be able to tell how much of an improvement either amp is.

I have been using the v1.2.3 beta all day and my DX50 has been functioning perfectly. Some notes:

Scrollbar is easier to catch with finger. EQ modes are outlined in orange when EQ is turned on. Smoother and more responsive screen. Very snappy response.
Media scanning seems about 20% faster to complete the initial scan.

Overall, I would have to say this is the most stable version for me so far. The upcoming non-beta version will have a confirmation screen for deletes.

That is going to be hard to suggest a good amp at that price, they just don't get that cheap. The D-zero is an Ok amp but I think it won't help you much in your above application, it's the same dac than the DX50 one. I don't know about the C&C BH but again if the price is about the same, I can't see having stellar components in it. You would have to move towards the 250 and above amps to really get something that could get your DX50 to shine and even there no amps with the DX50 might be a better proposition if you are not ready to shed some cash.

I am currently using my DX50 with C&C BH2, HE400 and loving it!

this is my state of mind too which is why I want to just listen to the HO on the DX50 with my W4Rs for a while to see if the C&C BH2/JDS Labs C5 even improve the sound.

When do we get the actual DX50 FW update with all the changes that were made, rather than the  BETA??

Will a Galaxy S4 battery fit in the dx50? If it does, does it extended the runtime?
