Thanks.

ah, then someone hook these batteries up to an internal resistance tester already, so we see what this is all about with the original samsung battery. found a cheap tester on ebay for $5. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Digital-LCD-Multimeter-Circuit-Current-Ampere-Voltage-Resistance-Tester-DVOM-DMM-/250961813310?pt=UK_BOI_Electrical_Test_Measurement_Equipment_ET&hash=item3a6e7d5f3e&_uhb=1

or this one:

might get one actually.

While either of those meters can be useful for casual electronic use, they will not be able to determine the ESR of a battery. While some inexpensive meters can give a rough estimate of the ESR of a capacitor, they will not work with a battery. For a good tutorial on how to measure the ESR of a battery, the following link might be of help:

http://lygte-info.dk/info/Internal%20impedance%20UK.html

As Jamato stated previously, a suitable ESR meter is costly, usually well over $100.

I see, then let our ears do the testing as usual :)

Sorry I'm a bit late in the game.
Did anyone try the coax output on a desktop rig yet?
Would love to know how this stacks up against dedicated transports like a Mac mini or CAPS (+DDC).

Thanks

I'll await their answer. When I ordered, there were still units of batch 5 left, according to the website. That was on 7/10. Maybe it was already sold out and they hadn't updated the web page yet.

I just wanted to have any confirmation from them. ;) Wouldn't be a problem If I got one from the next batch. I'm not that impatient. It's only strange that I didn't get any response yet, although they got my money on the 7th October.;)

Thanks.

Red Pico Slim from Headamp. The interconnect is my own creation; 90 degree gold plated connectors with silver/gold signal wires and copper return wire.

Please share your opinion here
If you hear SQ improvement after you use Samsung S3 battery
Please buy me lunch biggrin.gif

At first I was a bit skeptical.

After listening to my friend's DX50 with original Samsung S3 battery, now I can notice how good it sounds!

Really? You switched from the oem battery and you found the sound changed, how so and what's the improvements?

This is interesting... from Headfonia...

http://www.headfonia.com/the-disruptive-ibasso-dx50/

Apparently the 5th batch has significantly more spacious and open sound compared to the 4th batch.. I'm curious on the difference between the 1st and 5th batch now

that's god damn terrible. although the soundstage is really good on mine, I'd hate to learn newer ones are improved :|

Hulk smash!!!

maybe they started using different components for newer batches that have that effect. anyways, screw that, mine still sounds good. :D

can someone tell me what impedance adapter to use with very low resistance iems? I need the hiss to completely disappear...
