that's via EMS, but you can get it faster if opted via DHL. i made a mistake not letting them know earlier that i would be shipping via DHL, hence I have to wait.

advice for OCD people like me: if you can't handle that minuscule amount of (maybe even imaginary) hiss, which ironicaly you try to hear every good damn time like a proper masochist, pair this dap with something that has more impedance and maybe is a bit less sensitive...

It's always been there (: maybe you just didn't pay attention to it.

I have this too, but it doesn't affect my experience at all.

It's the amp section switching on/off.

ok thanks a lot! just want to make sure my unit is all ok. :D

no hiss with an SM3 v2 at low gain. i haven't experienced any frozen screens so far. loaded a newly formatted card with around 31gb of data, it just scanned it for less than 10mins. - so far it's showing all my music.

Many thanks for all of your helpful comments. I think the DX50's combination of features is just what I need (er want). Just need to get some of the old stuff sold to get the cash. Cheers.

I don't stick my jacks in the wrong holes thankyouverymuch... ;)

I had the same issue with a pair of spica tc50 speakers I purchased back in 1992. I still have and love those speakers. A great recording would sound superb while a bad or marginal recording would send me running for the hills. There are still a few cd's I can't stand to listen to 20 years later.

I'm no talking about the hiss that is already in the music. I'm talking about the hiss which is heard when the music is paused and even for some very quiet dynamic passages,( in the recording that are VERY clean) is heard when the music is playing :(

I know. I heard it from the day one, but yesterday it REALLY caught my ears' attention more.

Noise isolation is a must when biking, it stops the music being drowned out by the thumping of your heart beat! Wind noise is annoying too. I haven't managed to eliminate it.

If you are riding on a road, don't you at least want to be able to hear some things that are going around you?
