Hi DX50 owners, can anyone tell me the maximum capacity of memory card supported by DX50? And does it support full size SD card, or only MicroSD like the X3? Thanks.

Up to 2TB (should they be available one day) micro SDXC or SDHC.

The maximum capacity is theoretically 2TB. However, the largest micro SD card at the moment is 128GB (DX50 uses Micro SD).

Ah alright then, I've read the website's specs and find it hard to believe it supports 2TB (I thought it was a typo).

Cheers.

Well, I assume iBasso haven't gotten their hands on a 2TB micro SDXC card for testing purposes, so as mentioned this is "in theory" for now.

However someone (or I) could test it with a 2TB external powered harddrive via USB OTG. Shouldn't make a difference to the player.

I have a question about PB 2 + DB2 if you have a dx50 and are using these two external amp and dac would'nt that make your DX 50 useless except for just being able to play files? or are other components in the DX 50 that is still improving the sound quality?

Is the DX90 doing to be a successor to the DX50, or is it going to be what the X5 is to the X3?

Its playing your files but now it is fully balanced, which should be great with your HD650!

DX50 + PB2 = You bypass DX50's internal amp only DX50 still decodes the digital files sends it to it's internal DAC then to PB2.

DX50 + DB2 + PB2 = You bypass both internal DAC and amp on DX50. DX50 only decodes digital files and sends it to DB2 then PB2. Your DX50 at this point is no better nor worse than an iPod or any other DAP in transport only mode.

By successor you mean it will replace DX50, that is iBasso will discontinue DX50 and only offer DX90 then No.

Because they won't be priced similarly. DX90 will sell for US $419.

DX90 is obviously a better DAP in DX50's body. SQ-wise it can be on par if not better than DX100.

Interesting, I'll keep an eye on this one.

Generally, yes but it will be closer to DX100 than DX50. It's like stripping DX100 of excess fat (extra features and less powerful amp) and stuck the guts into the body of DX50.
