I did not think of DFF to DSD but DFF to 192khz/24-bit Flac.

Thanks, I really feel for you cause it makes it hard to have a stable review with an ever changing player sq. In the other hand if you like changes it could be exciting! wink.gif

Either one of two things: it's a bug or they have not designed it to take that high a resolution. The best action in this case is to just ask them if it was by design. Worst is you use the lower res best is we get another firmware biggrin.gif

No, USB DAC function will be avaible with next update, which should be released in about two months, acording to iBasso's answer for user from some Polish forum. We've got to wait a little longer :)

it sounds noticeably better. all the changes up until now were kinda subtle. well, 1.2.2. sounded good compared to the previous versions and you could sorta here it without tests and such. but let me tell you 1.2.8 sounded really different from the moment I listened to some music. it sounds fuller, wider, and more liquid. with more detail. sub-base is rumblier, but it doesn't make the sound thicker, it somehow manages to be easy on ears (easier than the 1.2.7 version) so yeah, this version is highly recommended.

2 months is very long i hope they work faster over there

anyway did you guys tried changing cables does that effect the sound much?

i just bought a Toxic Cable Silver poison.

Kudos to iBasso. The soundstage of 1.28 sounds very natural and unforced. They got it right. I am listening to it with the Quickstep and this is now a very nice stack.

You know, I have been a loud jerk on a positive mission. I really wanted them to address this for the benefit of all.

It will get USB DAC functionality too? Excellent.

Any comparisons to Fiio X5 with the 1.2.8?
