Robust earphones

Can anyone recommend a pair of robust earphones? I need the cables to be near impossible to pull apart. I keep breaking the cables every time I try to pull the earphones out of my purse or handbag. So it is getting a bit tedious now.

Tique, where do you live and what's the intended purpose? Sport? fooling around? everyday commute? and how much are you willing to pay?

How about IEMs with detachable cables? That way you can plug them back in when they get pulled out, and replace only the cable when it breaks instead of having to buy a brand new pair of earphones.

How do know I'm a guy? ;-)
The reason headphones break often is usually negligence. Cheap headphones don't last either.
