Which ones do you guys recommend?

I like my 1M Headphile CPU Series silver mini-to-RCA. Well-built and it sounds great.

The Pivot from Zu is pretty decent.

I went the DIY route with some Star Quad, and it's everything I need in an IC.

I made my own, as well. However, if I was going to buy one, I'd go with a Headphile product.

Thanks guys for all the recommendations. Decided to purchase a DIY IC from a fellow headfi member.

I got a 2m Zu Pivot a few weeks ago so I’m pretty sure its fully broken in by now.

So far compared to my standard no brand mini-rca cable the Zu is more revealing/has more detail and slightly better bass. I am not very good with audiophile terms but it sounds like there is more air around the sound also. The differences are minimal and require a fair amount of concentration to notice.

I very sceptical about the differences cables make and I’m quite aware of the placebo effect and am trying not let that influence me.

The looks and build quality of the Pivot is very good with 1 minor problem, the right channel RCA jack is a lot tighter than the left one. I was a bit worried when plugging it into my Perreaux SXH1 because the fit was so tight but hesitantly plugged it in anyway pushing rather hard, thankfully every thing worked out fine. Will the right channel RCA jack loosen over time?
I dont think its worth the hassle of me contacting Zu about this but its a little irritating because it sure makes me more cautious when A/B testing the cables.

I was lucky to get a 2 metre version of the Pivot over EBay for only $~53 USD plus postage. Since I have the 2 metre version would is be possible for me to take it somewhere and have it cut into two 1 metre cables? Then I could sell one of them as I really don’t need 2 metres worth, it was just such a good price.

EDIT: The tightness of the Zu Pivot connection was my fault... I only just realised that you can adjust the tightness with the Pivots. This is a very nice feature, the RCA plugs on the Pivot will fit any RCA jack out there.
The pivot is a very good cable and I highly recommend it.

i'm also looking for a cable too, i like the jmt cables, but he hasn't returned my email yet(been a week or two)
the zu cable looks very classy, it'll look good for my sony d 25s and larocco pr..

i don't like the looks of the headphile cables, the sparkling wraps ain't my style

I might as well jump in here. I have a RCA to mini 1m from fiddler. A nice cable, which I use with main system. However, I need one for bedroom system. I have a LaRocco PR and an ipod. I need a .25m RCA to mini that is flexible and has a right angle plug. Any recommendations? Thanks.

The minute I posted the earlier reply, I received an email from dealmac.com, with a deal for a Griffin 7" RCA to mini for $10. However, I am still looking for another higher quality alternative. I may have to get one of these at this price until you guys suggest a better alternative (which I am confident you will). Thanks.

I think JMT's mini to RCA is a good value with the Homegrown Audio Diva cable and their RCA jack.

Fiddler here on the forums just started with his own set of IC's that have a reasonable price, starting at around $50 for 0.5m and $2 per additional 0.5m.

I also got a 2-meter Pivot on Ebay, but for $64 + shipping. I too had the problem with the right RCA plug being much tighter, so much so that plugging it in broke the RCA jack on my amp loose. Guess I'm not alone...Still, I really like how sturdy the cable looks.
