Thanks -- is this them ?   http://toxic-cables.co.uk/index.php?route=common/home    I checked the website but don't see any OTG cables ..

In different news, am quite impressed with the stock earphones of the Note 3 / S4 (J5 model)...

Not going to set the world on fire, but could definitely do a lot worse by paying good money... - Definitely passable for a train journey :)

I had decent results with a Fiio Andes and Koss PortaPro. But the Yamaha DAC is my TMobile Snapdragon compares favorably. It could be better. Just not sure yet. Cool thread.

Interesting. The Fiio Andes I'm using may be making the sound cleaner, smoother across the mids, perhaps by evening out the treble. But i don't know if its appreciably better than the results i attain from adjusting the PowerAmp or Samsung players.

X2, I find the SQ good enough not to add a portable amp/dac. Of course this is not for serious listening, but for traveling, good enough for me.

sold my NOTe 3 because I was unsatisfied with the loudness through the headphones. Any one faced the same issue, i was afraid to ROOT it to try the different volume boosting apps

Where was your device from? Considering the EU is the only place that had recognised crippling of devices, I find it alarmingly loud (cannot Lauren on full volume, but can manage 14/15;for sorry bursts)

in Singapore, if that was the case we wont see so many people using Voddoo and other volume enhancing apps for Samsung phones...
