OWH nice! Lol I was thinking to buy iTunes music the other day but then I realized... It's not ALAC or WAV, it's just AAC + it's only at 256KPS!

Anyway, I'm having my no headphone day (which I created for the sake of my ears so basically, no headphone for me on every 24th day of each month but I missed it on Sat so replacement for today! It's a weird practice, but yeah, hearing protection!!! XD )! On Monday... I shall start my listening again! MUAHAHHAHAHAHA and yeah, your post ^ is itching my ears a lot! Fortunate enough it's night time here! XD

I have no headphone... hours xD. No about once a month I run things out my crappy pc speakers.

And yea iTunes can go die i n a hole. I NEVER shop there EVER. and trust me I paid like $1.00 a song on a Uk web site. So while iTunes is cheaper, I'll pay more for Lossless files thanks. Also band camp has a good number of free music sometimes!

In addition Rub I feel you there, I spent $250 on my Samsung Galaxy Exhibt 2 and well it sucks... shame on me for buying this piece of crap -.-. I mean the ONLY good thing about it is the Camera which is SLIGHTY better than my old Kyocera Hydro. My new phone just needs to be hacked and updated to android 4.01

Any how do enjoy your new sony cans ! Tell us how they sound :3

I have been going to sleep with earphones on for about 12 years. Yes, it is a big addiction for me. I listen music with mild volume level and the music stops in ~ 2 hours. So am I doing it wrong?

I can't sleep with headphones q.q I'd break them. Actually that's how I break them in the past. I move around to much when I sleep. I do like having a little speaker running though but cant due to neighbors. I how ever have a fan that helps me sleep :D I can't sleep in silence lol, it's keeps me awake

I used to do that but I'm afraid my body will tangle the earphone cable badly and broken it so I stopped!

To answer your question, normally, it won't cause much problems unless you play it too loud (anything above 80dB-85dB). Also, to see if it cause any harm, the next morning when you woke up, see if you have the feeling as if your ears are stuffed with something after removing the earphone. If you have that problem, it is advised to stop that habit as it indicates that it is causing harm to your ears!

My suggestion is, get a speaker for that if it won't bother your partner or your room maid. Music will help you sleep better to my knowledge

Music does help you sleep better, but be ware I dream about what I hear. If A do fall asleep with headphones [which I do VERY rarely] I have night mares in which every time I open my mouth I can hear the music playing out of my cans. Which sucks because if your STUCK IN A HOLE, you can't scream for help with Dub Step q.q

WOWWWWW! Never heard of that!

*To make the nightmare scarier* when you sleep away with a song with horror lyrics... If that happens to me, I think I will never ever again sleep with my headphones on xD

yea I'm almost blind, I can't smell or taste all that well so my brain enjoys listening and feeling. Hence is why I dream like that lol

It's happened a few times and it's always scary because you can't communicate with people <.< I enjoy mostly instrumentals so thankfully no vulgar or scary lyrics to make it worse

what a coincidence! I live in the heart of the city. During winter, I keep a small table fan running (with a timer for like 2 hours) to filter the external noise. The fan would be pointed away from me! haha.... But in summer, I cant sleep without earphones and fan!

Few years ago, I broke one or 2 cheap headphones by listening music, while going to sleep. I found a solution in terms of in ear phones, especially Sennheiser CX series. I have been using CX 400 on a daily basis for the past 2 years, when going to bed. They are work well so far. In the past, I used CX 550 for this purpose for about 2 years. I use CX 550 at work now.

If you are not spending enough yet, you just gotta put some money into a good desktop speaker setup and then a HT setup for your living room. That will take the spending to a whole new level. biggrin.gif

Yep! My search for a 2.0 speaker have not ended yet! My local Apple authorized shop just brought in the AudioEngine A5+ at around US$450++ haven't tested it yet as I haven't got the time yet! I see they have a bamboo version, any sound difference? It cost a little bit more!

While I was looking at KEF headphones, I see they have a bookshelf speaker as well and they look attractive and from what I am reading, they are pretty good! Possible to add a subwoofer to it?

btw, I have a 21-inch desktop and I do not want my speaker to look tiny sitting next to it so would like something BIGGER  xD not only in size also in sound xD

Billson :D

EDIT: the AudioEngline A5+ at here [Brunei] is selling at US$511. 67 [converted] for black or white version, the bamboo version is at US$567.50 [converted]... Why so expensive T.T
