My rig is still a work in progress. But once I have something I'm satisfied with, I'll definitely post pics to the portable rig thread. Trouble is, I'm never satisfied.

Hah! I can count on the fingers of one hand, the number of posts I've read (since April when I joined), the number of Head-Fi'ers who have stated they have found their endgame rig.

And I'm not entirely sure that those people have remained permanently satisfied.

This hobby is almost as bad as playing one of those online games that never ends. You just never quite finish, heh :L3000:

Hello everyone, My name is Will.

From the Pasadena area, born and raised in the socal area.

My current set up:

Hifiman HE 500s

DAC: Yulong DA8

I just sold my Woo Audio WA7 Fireflies headphone amp. Lovely amp but I want to upgrade to something with a balanced output. Since I have the HE500s, I will also look into the emotiva x100s.

Thanks third_eye for the fast approval!

How is it going everyone? I just started to get into all of this. Work in Irvine, live in Anaheim. I ended up getting a FiiO E12 and some DT-770 Pro 250Ohm just yesterday. So far so good, not the best not the worst! I will end up getting some open cans soon I am sure, but these are great for work. I recabled/jacked just for fun this morning.

Hope to see you all around,

Marc

Hello SC Head Fi Group,

Thank you for the invite, what a great group from the posts I have read so far.  I am, like all of you, passionate about music.  Audiophile, Head-fi, Car-Fi, etc., the label doesn't matter, to me it's all about loving music.  I've been in So OC my whole life, but have traveled throughout the US for various positions in the Photo Industry, working for 2 of the top camera brands, as well as being a rep in the Consumer Electronics Industry for the past 12 years.

I'm still building my portable/desktop system, I think I have the IEM's needed, now on to Headphones, dacs, etc. It's great to see all of the recent changes and additions to this category, extremely exciting. I'll be checking on posts to help guide me along my pursuit of the right system for me.  So Thank You for your opinions and input. If any of you would like to talk about photography, camera gear, etc., please hit me up anytime.  Anything that I can do to help is a pleasure, I don't have all of the answers, but I still have colleagues that can.

V-MODA M80
V-MODA M100

Yeah, you might. I'm sure that someone is happy you can spend all that money. Clearly, you aren't married, divorced, or have kids.

The worst part is how much I've spent on tubes. On the other hand, I consider some of those an investment, that I can sell later, for at least what I paid for them.

In my case it helps to know that my hearing doesn't justify spending cubic dollars on high end gear. I am generally happy with lower end, bang for the buck items.
