S9 replacement advice needed

My S9 died today and i have been looking for a replacement. Of course i could just buy a new S9 but i was wondering about the alternatives.

What i need/dont need:

- no SD slot required

- no wifi required

- no video options required or whatever. Will only use it for music.

- best possible SQ

- physical FF and back button(s) preferred (i skip tracks a lot)+

- lightweight preferred

What would be the best options for me? I saw on Cowons website the iaudio 9 and the i10 seem nice but no physical buttons for skipping like the s9 had?

Any recommendations?

Fiio X3. SD slot is not required, but on this one, that's where your music will have to be as it has minimal internal memory. Every other criteria is spot on for it.

Thanks for your suggestion!

Hope i don't sound like a whiner now but the X3 looks kinda "big" or is that just me? I usually carry it in my pocket (jeans) so I'm wondering if its as big as it looks or if that's just the pictures I'm looking at.

I wouldn't worry about the size unless you have skinny jeans all the time; however, as far as ergos in terms of shape are concerned, personally nothing beats the S9. On all my pants it's comfortable to have in the pocket because of the curved back, compared to a brick shape that's as thick in its edges as the widest point on the back of the S9. If you have, or at least have seen, an E7/E07 or E17, that's roughly the X3's size. Alternately, you can look up the specs for the size and make a model using several layers of illustration board (thick cardboard) to approximate thickness. Put that in your pocket and walk. Sure it's not as hard as the actual DAP but if it feels tight even before you take a step, it's too big for your pockets.

Back when I had the S9 though I had one of those Nokias with the keyboard in it as my phone, so both pockets had something bulky in it. Nowadays I have my Galaxy S3 as my daily player (and a powerbank in my bag), but if I ever get another player (like when I had a DX100 review unit), it'll probably just be in my camera bag anyways, so size isn't as big an issue for me anymore.
