Should I get a DAC/AMP for my computer? - Page 3

Have you tried it with any lossless (high quality recorded) music that is bass heavy yet? The E17 should help on the sub bass if you are listening at louder volumes. If you are listening to 192kb mp3s or using free Pandora, might make much less difference.

I listen to mostly 320kb and some flac, I do hear the help on sub bass, not at loud volume though, I personally like to listen to music in a normal volume, initially I was actually looking for a better soundstage though, it gives some, but not that much I was hoping for.

Don't count on DACs and solid state amps making a significant difference in soundstage. Tube amps can have some effect on that. But really, if you want better soundstage, you need different headphones.
