Hello Head-fi people :D

I'm about to get my v moda m-100 from the mail

And I was thinking about a good player for that awesome headphone.

since Samsung S3 isn't good for me (enough) its big, ugly and inconvenient.

My budged is 150$ + -

Since my country has poor variety of player (walkman sansa and ipod lots of them).

I really dislike using ITUNES so ipod is out of my sight in this one...

I need an advice on good sounding media player that can run this headphones and if you can so explain me how will I know that this MP won't explode\burn while plugin "into the wall" (it won't match my country's current etc..)

I have the Sandisk Sansa Clip Zip and Sony E465 and think they are good for the price I paid for them.

If you have access to a PC or Mac, just recharge the players using USB.

Hello All

I experimented with a Sansa Clip + with a Fiio E6 portable headphone amp along with the Grado GS1000's (I also have the B&W P3s and the V Jays) and compared it to the sound through the headphone output of the Puccini DSC CD Player and the EAR HP4 Headphone Amp.

Result? 15% difference in sound; for a fraction of the cost!!  (£350 vs £13k+)

What a revelation!!!!

Here is the pic....

Prefer FLAC through my Sansa clip + and compared with the CDs played through the Puccini.

Music samples:

Jack Cortners New York Big Band.

Charlie Haden - Sophisticated Ladies.

Dave Koz - Jazz at the Movies.

All the above-mentioned recordings have top-notch production - overwhelmingly impressed by the Sansa Clip +.

Though I will be investing in either a Colorfly or Astel and Kern in the near future.

That's fine, as Cowon's stuff are well known here for their sound.

Much newer, better DAC, Android, 24/192 support, line out.

Or maybe the DX50.

True, but I think the OP wants something cheaper...

The DX50 isn't much more than the X3.
