[VIDEO] Portable High-end Headphone Amp Guide

I made this in November 2012 so it is 9 months out of date! However, I thought I'd put it up anyway after editing it to see if people would enjoy it.

I plan to do a more up-to-date version of the video later this year, likely after the October Tokyo headphone festival.

The featured items are:

ALO Audio RX-3B balanced headphone amp.
Ray Samuels Audio SR-71B balanced headphone amp.
Cypher Labs Algorithm Solo DAC.
Triad Audio L3
Fostex HP-P1

The short mini-to-mini cables shown were ALO and the USB cable was Furutech Alpha Labs.

Shouldn't this be in the portable amp forum wink_face.gif.  Maybe an administrator can move it etysmile.gif.

Whoops. That is what happens when it is late at night and I'm too sleepy to think.

Thanks for making the video. It was a good overview of these options.

I have a question about balanced vs single ended.  For an amp like the ALO RX is there a noticeable difference in sound between the balanced output and the single ended output on the same amp?  How does it differ?  e.g. in clarity?
