Soundstage of the two is similar too except the W60's have more sense of space, which is a bit hard to describe in words. In terms of instrument separation, W60 is much better, especially with acoustic guitar, I've not heard any IEM that can top that, I could really feel the metal in the steel strings being plugged in a lot of recordings. The Pro30's and W60's housings are nearly identical, which are amazingly comfortable, unlike my old Westone 3's.

Sounds like a worthy upgrade to my um3x.

So far I haven't heard of an universal iem under 1k that does instrument separation better than the um3x.

Whether it's a worthy upgrade depends on the individual, as a lot of ppl here thought the sonic improvement is not worth the huge price difference, they could be right. But if one can afford them, I think they are worthy, as they are quite unique, like the SE846. I wouldn't say the W60 does instrument seperation better than all other IEMs, it really depends on the kind of music. Like I meantioned, for acoustic guitar, the W60 are amazing, but with strings instruments, SE846 have more of an edge, while W60 makes them sound spacious and smooth. Do have an audition before you get them, as we all hear things differently sometimes. But if I were only allowed to have 1 pair of IEM, I'd go for the Pro 30 or the UM3x without doubt, as I use them as my reference IEM.
