2nd Annual San Diego Head-Fi Meet: Saturday, November 2nd, 2013 - Page 7

Does anyone have a 3pin to 4pin XLR adapter?

Purrin, I noticed in the TH900 thread that you have a pair. Do you still have them, and if so, would you be willing to bring them?

Just want to add my name to the list of attendees. May not bring much since all I have is Schiit and Audeze - nothing exotic by Head-fi standards. :D

Added. Feel free to bring your gear or not. But I am sure someone would be interested in hearing your combo. If nothing else, you could try your gear with some of the other gear there.

Thanks,

The Audeze LCD-2 and LCD-3 are pretty exotic as far as I'm concerned!

Yes. LOL, I actually just ordered them. I should be getting them sometime next week, well in time for the meet.

The Abyss is terminated with 2x 3pin XLRs right? If you're gonna bring them, I'll make an adapter because I really want to try them on my setup.

That was a long term loan from tehmom (she's super cool!) a while back.

Ah ok thanks anyway. Maybe I'll ask in the th900 thread if anyone's local if no one brings one to the meet.

Just joined the forum (I've been lurking for a couple of months) and wanted to mention that I'd love to attend. I don't have much in the way of equipment, but I'll be bringing my mad dogs along.

Cool. You should definitely have fun!

BTW, I am burning in our demo Cavalli Liquid Gold right now. It should be all ready to go for the meet!

It's not 100% yet, but there is a chance we might have a pair of Audeze LCD-X headphones at the meet... I probably won't find out until just before the meet though, if that.

I would also love to attend this meet! Just found out about it because of my desire to go to a headphone meet and a few quick forum searches... really lucky it was so soon. I can bring HE-500s and an NFB-11.32, but I don't have a portable usb source to play the nfb from. I can bring a fiio e12 that I use with my iphone 4 in addition to, or instead of the nfb 11.32. If I want to bring a friend along who likes audio, but doesn't have a head-fi account can I? Thanks!

Glad to have you and your friend. The event is open to the public. That is also a requirement by the library. But we welcome everyone regardless.

 FTFY

But most headfiers are anyway

I'm here in San Diego and will try my best to make it. If so, will bring along my "Teta" HP amp (Spanish, look it up). It is a 12AU7 with 48 VDC B+ running in constant-current mode, driving a power MOSFET output buffer. Surface-mount stepped attenuator as vol control. Hand wired, point-to-point. The chassis is a heavy, chromed steel base from an old IKEA table lamp. I designed this a few years ago and built two, the other one (the prototype) was a birthday gift to my buddy. We both find it drives our Sennheiser 650s like we've never heard before. Of course, I'm a bit biased...

Cheers,

Papi Chulo
