My B-P-T Ultra is here. Just finished uunwrapping it and plugged it in. IT comes with what seems a nice power cord and isolation bearings. The finish is remarkably slick for a handmade product and is absolutely dead silent with no hum. It is also very heavy (~30lbs) and seems to lower the noise floor noticeably on first audition. More later.

Congrats! There are few experiences better than playing with a new toy

Sweet. Your balanced transformer beat mine. Mine just shipped today. I will be assembling mine though. And I'm going to other mods so I won't be up an running immediatly.

Enjoy and can't wait to hear it.

Cool, which model did you get? Gotta love that blackground they give.

Got the lowest of the low BPT-1 Ultra. I like the way it sounds so far. Seems to reduce a lot of the irritating grunge that I was hearing. Unfortunately my ICs are sound a little harsher than I remember them before. Underwoodhifif seems a great place to do business, this model seems a pretty good deal for $650 delivered.

Since the noise floor is lower now, it's more revealing. My observation was that they are a bit harsh but it's hard to tell until you get some power conditioning and now you got some good stuff. It's time for another mini-meet You can try out my goodies.

Congrats kartik. I have wanted to check out a balanced power source one of these days, but won't get around to it for years. Make sure to post a bunch on what it does for you and the sound of your system.

I think so too. I just have some guests at home right now. Maybe in a week or two.

One important change in the sound that the sound seems to have some real teeth now. It bites. Hard. The vocals are really punchy and the bass is significcantly deeper. Unfortunately my grado dirvers aren't able to handle the bass.
