If any of you cable swappers find one that does not transmit microphonics (rubbing noises) like the stock cable, please let us know.

The best cable that I had for the AD in terms of flexibility, light weight, no microphonics was the Q-Audio Cable. My cable was finished with mini xlr and then I used the adapters to connect to the AD.

I don't buy cables for SQ changes...just to have a custom length, better ergonomics an low microphonics.

I have that Q French Silk cables on both my D7000 and TH900.  I'd never use anything but that cable.  So soft, flexible, lightweight.

I have had the Alpha Dogs for a few months I find they "Shine" on some cuts and a "Flat Box sound" on some cuts.

Amps used are Ha Info,Darkvoice and Yulong A28 (balance) DAC Yulong D100II.

Also pair it with my commute rig DX-50 and C&C BH2.

Do you notice a SQ difference or is it more snake oil than anything? I understand the microphonics, looks and ergonomics but paying over $200 seems unreasonable when the cable that comes with it is good

Interesting.  Where did you buy the adapters?

The plug is available to cable manufacturers at www.evalucon.com, and the part number is SN-8-4(P).  We will have these available for purchase on our site begining October 9, 2013.

They were also made by Steve Eddy at Q-Audio.

OK, thank you,  I suppose sending them an email is in order.  :)

Has anyone tried the AD with the Vali? I like the design of the AD more and want a nice all-rounder closed headphones with a little bass kick. I heard the mad dog pros are excellent with the vali and I assume it's all the same with mdoded t50rp but I've heard the ADs are harder to drive or don't bring out the best of the ADs with the vali? Can anyone add to this?

I listen to my Alpha Dog with my Vali sometimes. It's a very good pairing and I recommend it (even if I prefer good pure solid state).

Ok, that's relieving. Would it be worth on investing for another amp? I just don't want to fork out $500+ for like a soloist sl. Considering I also just got the vali.
