MrSpeakers Alpha Dog Revealed! - The World's First Production 3D-Printed Headphones - Page 290

For the past year.  Mad Dog.  I let the LCD2 and HE6 go.  Are the MD's a end game, no.  To my ears they do everything pretty good and some things very good.  I am content with every genre of music I use them for.  To throw another thousand or two at another headphone and about that much more for a DAC/amp and only get something that was just a small step from the MD to me is not worth it.  I've been content with the MD's for over a year... then Dan announces the AD's.

Dan is the devil releasing his dogs from hell.

Will you be coming to the Austin meet (I know it's a long drive!)?  I'll be there...

Renovating my sister house for her.  When is the meet?  Maybe I'll cut some corners to speed things up. ;)

Yeah Matt - These are my exact preferences as well.  I like an open headphone for classical music.  The ADs are great for Jazz and female vocals, yup also pop and R&B...

Yup, I agree with Matt. Open phone for classical, AD for acoustic, vocals, jazz, rock. Wait, what did Matt say? From memory, I liked the AD better than D7000 for classical. I should finally have my Alphas in a week or so to refresh my memory.

I'm assuming you listened to mine. When I briefly listened to the AD, I would say the AD and the Paradox are on par.

I have to say I don't have much exposure to the Paradox, just got to hear them once at a meet. Based on my brief impressions the AD was clearly in another league aesthetically and sonically.
Same thing with me, I heard it once at the recent CA meet.  With such brief exposure, I wouldn't dare to compare between the 2.

It's really funny to hear all the Paradox comparisons going on now.  Let's not forget comparisons to the Paradox was done with the first release of the Mad Dogs.  The Mad Dogs and the Paradox was on par then.  Really then I still preferred the Mad Dogs for some things.

I compared a few T50RP mods that included the first Mad Dog, Paradox, Thunderpants TP-1, BMF.

Sense then Dan has released 2 or 3 iterations / upgrades to the Mad Dogs.  I know I sent my first pair in for a tuning.  Now the Alpha Dogs.

The Mad Dogs got better, Alpha Dogs got better than the Mad Dogs.  What did the Paradox do?  Stayed the same = no improvements at all.  Until the Slants come out.

So how is the Alpha Dogs on par with the Paradox today?  One improved the other did not.  I'm sorry at this point the Alpha Dogs are the superior Mod = IMO...

I don't want to start an argument here, so I'm going to dismiss myself from this debate.

Didn't LFF revise the Paradox recently? If so that means DigitalFreak has listened to them.
