MrSpeakers Alpha Dog Revealed! - The World's First Production 3D-Printed Headphones - Page 165

Somehow whenever I dream about listening to perfect sound quality, it's always a violin solo track or some other string instrument, where the midrange is so creamy and engaging, yet without a hint of fuzziness or congestion, and a staggering amount of micro-details across the board. It's both an exaggeration of what the ultimate SQ is, and what my own hearing capabilities are.

I wonder what everyone else's "dream reference music" genres are.

I think you would love David Grisman and Jerry Garcia.

Wet cat scratches, across a windowsill, rendered perfectly.

i.e. more La Monte Young and Zorn.

Then I wake up and it turns out that it was just the roof leaking again. Also I was unemployed. What a strange turn of events.

I might need better headphones....?

I had this song stuck on my head ALL day yesterday (not exactly reference)...

I realize this isn't exactly the type of genre the Alpha Dog is gonna excel in, but I was dreaming/mentally picturing how the AD would sound with it.

Referencing his (Don Draper, the shows Lead) amazing ability to come up with advertising and sell it to clients.

Thus he is saying your slogan is Draper worthy.

Jude has been raving about how the Alpha Dogs sound like open headphones even though they are closed. Is this really the case? Is the soundstage at least as wide as the HD600's soundstage? I suppose I can answer this question myself when my Alpha Dogs arrive but that won't be until mid-November.

My weirdest dream was back when I was thinking of getting the LCD-2 and before I got my he-500, or even knew of it. I dreamed that I went to a store and saw the LCD-2 ready to be picked up and listened to for a sample. And I remember once I put the headphone on my head my ears were shaking with how much bass there was. LOL

I think initial quick impressions can be honest and useful too....
these can be reconfirmed or changed as whatever burn-ins take place.

Who wanna be the first few for target practice? LoL
Come on...cough it out.

For me, yes. The sound stage is as good as my hd650. AGAIN, sound stage is no where no the top of my list so take that with a grain of salt.

I need a couple more days to finish the review, but here you go...

"they sound as good as they look."

I would like to know about the bass quantity of the alpha dogs, also how the bass dial works....

Please put some comparisons to the HE400 in terms of bass quantity, quality, impact, sub / mid bass with / without the bass dial thanks.

So far we have had "these have less bass than the mad dogs" and also "these compete with the HE400"... So it is not very conclusive.

Sure, sure. I believe they will do that. Please just give the reviewers time because that the most treasure thing they need now to write very long interesting reviews. They will not let us down ... mostly.
