What? You already had it. I thought Dan will start to ship the headphones on the next Monday or may be by Monday now. Please do not make me wait for so long. One hour, ok? MattCG.

Okay people easy...easy. Just having a little chuckle here. I DO NOT have the AD yet. What I do have is the tracking info. If I get a little lucky, I'll have them Wednesday, probably no later than Thursday.

Be looking for a comprehensive review comparing: MD, AD, he400, he-4, he-500 and others to follow at some point in the near future.

Epic ortho midfi battle.

Will you have it compare with dynamic headphone (like Sen HD650)?

Will be interesting to hear the general consensus after such an anticipated release... this thread is off the charts.  Personally I am waiting until the initial frenzy calms down and perhaps it goes through an iteration or two of fine tuning and tweaking.  I am still thinking I would like them unpainted and with the cord entering only one side.

Curious if they could be fine tuned using spiraling 3d printed wave tubes of various lengths inside the cups to give a perfect flat response or even to offer custom response curves.

^^ Yes, the hd650 will be included as well as a variety of amps with pairing recommendations.

Nothing wrong with waiting awhile, but if you're holding out for an update you'll be waiting quite a long time. Dan has said he intends this as a long-term, stable product.

Dan is supposed to be in Dallas tomorrow with AD.  I'm sure there'll be some impressions from that meet.

Oops, today.

Even if they turn out to be a disappointment (no reason to think that anyway)... The idea of custom made cups using 3D printing is very cool, maybe they could make some custom cups for other drivers / headphones.
