Someone should put up some knitted covers on Etsy.

Cups look great, better than I could have imagined. Definitely helps my push towards upgrading.

Man this thread is getting cynical and somehow posting disparaging comments is now popular and funny. Guess it's time to unsub until they release.

Can you explain the material, especially as it's 3D printed?

The material is the highest grade ABS plastic.  Not sure what else there is to say.

The paint is top quality auto paint, and yes, we do use a body shop that does very high end work as our painter.

Thanks. I just wasn't aware of what materials could be used in 3D printers, since it has to be printed and then needs to set and harden as I understand it.

Is it a 1600 or something? I used to have a 240Z.

Nope.  2000 - restore project.

Any idea on if it is easy to scratch?

Awesome car - used to have a powder blue one - before that had the earlier "Fairlady Z"...

Just make sure that teens don't walk by your headphones with their keys sticking out. ;)

I'm sure that they've done their own testing. The real test will be once these start to hit the streets and see day to day use from regulars like us. A good automotive paint and clear coat baked on is pretty darn resilient.

Oh, and Dan...the work on the cup is just beautiful!!

It's paint, so if it would scratch your car it will scratch these.  Just use a soft microfiber to polish when needed and don't chuck them around.  I've had a set in my velvet bag in my backpack for two months with no scratches yet, and I have NOT been careful.

Can anybody that has heard these compare them to the Q701? I am assuming the Alpha Dogs have better bass extension since it's been said they are -3db at 12hz, but what about overall bass quantity? Do they have more bass overall than a Q701? The perfect amount of bass for me is the Q701 with about a 3db bass boost from 100hz and down.

I'm also going to assume these are flatter across the board than the Q701? Can anybody confirm my assumptions?

I REALLY hope I get picked for the tour because I really want to try them.

Well, if you're every angry at an owner of a pair of Alpha Dogs, you can pull out the: "I'm gonna key your headphones!"

Or park it on a headphone stand underneath a berry tree...
