Any good pairs of headphones under $75?

My best friend's birthday is soon and he is an audiophile as am I.

Does anybody know some good quality headphones for under $75?

Yes, there are some nice cans for $75.

 

What kind of music will be listened to.

He likes all music honestly, mostly low bass.

Jaycar Pro Monitor Headphones. They are $70 in the US and they're the same headphones as the Brainwavz HM5s. Unless he doesn't like a neutral sound signature you'll really struggle to find any upgrades at more than double it's price.

if the recipient likes low bass grado may not be a great option for this as much as i think grado 80/60i is a great bang for the buck

Only if his friend is a grado fan. If he prefers more bass, then the symbolic treble comes from Grado SR series may not suit him well
