How about Waterfall + Windex?

12mm thick shaped Italian tinted glass, baby!!

Actually, the glass merely acts as the stand. The Celestion AVF302 also comes in beechwood....

Celestion speakers are amazing....disappeared for a while in the States, but I still have fond memories of my Celestion 3s.

Ctn, "Those speakers must sound like ****". Maybe but they're not cheap, the £1,999.99 Victoria!

Well now that I think about it. As long as the cabinet is seriously anti-resonant they may sound OK? The base looks cheap.

OK, I will give you that....they are still very transparent to me.

The Celestions are currently on sale at Best Buy for $600.00/pair.

Aw, I'm disappointed in the celestions. I thought they were going to be dipoles! But no, they still conventional box speakers

Now I feel guilty. Expensive transparency you say? Wilson? Kharma?

<Old Fart Rant> Ok, enough, already - you guys are freakin' me out ... now I remember why I like the headphone universe so much - far fewer options and hype to search through ... </Old Fart Rant>

Actually, I kind of like the transparent/industrial look - but then, I had one of the early Bulova Accutron Spaceview's (wish I still had it now), so I know where you guys are coming from (unless you are just weird speaker **** phreaks )

I confess. But I often close my eyes when indulging/listening.

for those that like it less transparent, fill it with lead shot or sand.
