My collection currently includes:

Are You Experienced?

Axis: Bold As Love

Electric Ladyland

Blues

Valleys of Neptune

People, Hell and Angels

Live at Woodstock

Blue Wild Angel - Live at the Isle of Wight

Can anyone suggest what to get next?

Band Of Gypsys seems an obvious omission.

Agree, and I'll take the liberty to add "Cry Of Love". The first album released after his death and it contains most of the material that he intended to release on his next or fifth album as it more correctly would have been. There's some really nice gems on this one...

Band of Gypsies - His best live recording, bar none!

When Jimi died he was in the process of making a 2-LP studio record ala Electric Ladyland.  Instead 3 records were released; 'Cry of Love' & 'Rainbow Bridge', & 'War Heroes' that all featured songs originally slated to be on that original dbl-LP.  While Jimi never got to put the finishing touches on it, 'First Rays Of The New Rising Sun' was the last record Jimi made that he actually approved of and the last studio record worth owning.  The 1st 3 on yr list were approved by Jimi, these last 2 will complete the collection of music he wanted to have released!  Jst quick chk'd Amazon and there's a used copy for $6.99.  That's $6.99 well-spent!

I'd also very highly recommend the movie documentary; 'Jimi Hendrix'.

Thanks for the suggestions.  If I am correct, Band of Gypsies is the same show as Live at Filmore East?  Is there any difference between the two?

Yeah, Band Of Gypsys (note spelling, not "Gypsies") was recorded New Year's Eve 1969-1970 at the Fillmore East. Whatever "Live at Fillmore East" is may be the same thing, but it was originally called Band Of Gypsys.

Album cover:

Track list:

1. Who Knows

2. Machine Gun

3. Changes

4. Power To Love

5. Message To Love

6. We Gotta Live Together
