Ok thanks. I can't demo the Shure SE846 anywhere so I have to rely on measurements to get an impression how it sounds. To me it looked like a Shure SE535 with a big bass :p

What's going on with the square wave tests of the Shure SE846? It doesn't look "ideal". (i did a quick search, but didn't find anyone discussing it)

Square waves are borked because the unit measured had the treble ba wired out of phase.  The rest of the data including impulse is correct though.

Here`s the most important sentence from that review:

"I’ve never heard better sound from a set of earphones."

No the most important thing is that they are selling them.

They also sell the Sennheiser ie800 so that mitigates that argument.

The S&V review was written by Steve Guttenberg (who probably doesn't profit directly from any sale).

The important thing for a guy like me (who likes very isolating universals) is when will I get a chance to A/B versus the Roxanne UF?

I do not need to be convinced anyways, I love the 846 biggrin.gif

I should be able to compare with Roxanne, custom version, if I ever receive it...

What's the over/under on when you think you will receive your Roxanne's? Is the time measured in months or seasons?
