Yes it is, the treble energy and extension is kind of insane without sounding harsh. I don't know how its done but yea.. Its pretty amazing.

I ask this in another thread but you jump in here so I will post it here and you can ignore the other one.

You mention that the Roxanne is brighter than shure 846, what filter were you using on shure 846 when making comparison, were you using the white filter (brightest filter) or the blue Neutral filter.

Cool was it with the White (brightest) or Blue (neutral) when comparing the treble with Roxanne.

I promise I will stop asking if this is confirmed.

Hey Joshua, thanks for the input. Does the treble quality of Roxanne sound like LCD X? Which one has more sparkle or brighter?

Also does the Roxanne mid quality as good as Shure 846?

I strike the Roxanne out of my list earlier because of reports of it being a dark IEM, but from what I gather here it may not be so.. Can anyone confirm?

Yes it sounds like the LCD X but maybe a tad bit more extension like the LCD XC.

Yes the Roxanne to me beats the SE846 in every way not by alot but by abit but in every aspect. The Roxanne is the best earphone I have tried and the SE846 second.

No it is not dark at all. As I have said in my previous post, it has very good treble energy and extension without being fatiguing. The 846 sounds dark next to the Roxannes.

To put it simply, the Roxannes sound like the LCD-X/XC while the SE846 sounds like the LCD2.

Hope this helps. :)

Don't worry man. What is a forum for if you can't ask your heart out. Haha.

I use the blue filter with Sensaphonic custom sleeves if that helps.

Thank you for confirming.

The blue with Sensaphonic is pretty dark hahaha..

Have you had a chance to try it with white filter and compared it to Roxanne. If you still own the Shure 846, can you do me this favor? I will buy you coffee if I see you on the street in Singapore.. I go to Singapore every year for holiday and business..

Haha. I am from Malaysia but I go to Singapore pretty often too.

I have tried all the filters before too. I fell that with the white filter, the SE846 does not sound so coherent. Its brighter but not with sparkle, the Roxanne on the other hand has alot of sparkle, energy and extension without fatiguing. The Roxannes seriously sound coherent, and when I listened to it, what really came to my mind was from the headfi TV episode where Jude said that Jerry managed to massage 12 drivers together and it really does sound that way.

So the SE846 is brighter with white filter but not with sparkle, do you mean that the SE846 has more lower treble & the Roxanne has higher upper treble?

You are welcome. (:

I am sure you won't regret it if you do decide to buy the Roxannes. And if you're not ready to drop that much cash in something that someone is describing to you online, when you drop by in Singapore. There are universal Roxannes for you to try in Jaben. If you like it you may then go home and get it. Be it custom or universal. But just don't get it from Jaben. Lol. They're mark up is insane and they dint bother updating you once you have paid. Any request for a statues will just return with a we are not sure we are also just waiting. I bought my universals from Moon Audio and Drew personally emailed me to keep me updated in the status of the earphones as we were the first batch of pre orders.

Ok thanks for the Jaben tips, I actually prefer Stereo at Ion mall. The staff there are really friendly and lots of cute gals over there. :D

Why do people say the Roxanne's sound like an LCD X? In my opinion the SE846 doesn't even sound as good as the SRH940, never mind a flagship over the ear. I seriously doubt the Roxanne sounds as good as the LCD X. What do you think?

I think I sold my LCD-3 after I had the 846 for a while.  Just saying ;)

You think? Was there some ambiguity about the sale or the reason?
