Headphones are very pleased. Did not know that the device of this size can play well. Proved to be a great pair for Herus. It turns out a good set for both home and outdoor.;)

Just bought a pair of m200's. I have very small ear canals and was extremely disappointed with the fit - cannot get a good seal at all with the supplied earbuds. Even following the KEF video guide on how to insert them.

I have ordered some triple flange earbuds from ebay to see if they will help.

I just saw a video review on cnet where the reviewer was having major problems with fit and had to use alternative buds.

Extremely disappointed a company would goo to such lengths and then fail when it comes to the earbuds.

As you can imagine, without the right seal they sound terrible. I literally have to keep them in place with my hands to enjoy them.

So for now they go on the self until replacement ear buds arrive.

So a word of warning for people with small ear canals like me - the standard ear buds that come with these will most likely NOT fit!!

They fit me perfectly, and I got a perfect seal. The tri flange tips might work for seal, but they are going to ruin the sound. The treble, which already isn't the most pronounced, is going to be very muted, and the bass is gonna be HUGE. So it will present a much narrower sound. Your best bet is to sell if the fit isn't right for you. The left LF driver went out on mine, but I also wore them wire straight down, and ear cinches vertical over my ear crest and down the backside. Fit great. Lousy QC.

My KEF M200 replacement will be arriving soon... thank you KEF warranty for a speedy warranty service!

Review will be continued as soon as it arrives. For the mean time you can check my other reviews here:

I think I have medium sized ear canals, but for whatever reason, the stock tips are useless for me. Might as well be putting the drivers in my ears without tips lol. So yeah, replacement tips are the only way to go for many of us.

So far these tips have worked quite well for me to achieve a good seal and good sound:

- Phillips SHE 9700 medium tips. Great fit and seal. Turns the M200's into bass monsters though (which I kinda dig!).

- UE TF10 medum tips. Great fit and seal, and more of a neutral and balanced sound.

- Comply Tx500 medium tips. Awesome fit and seal, and for me makes the sound incredibly full and balanced.

I'll be looking to try other tips over time as well. For example I have read that the UE900 tips work well (unfortunately they can't be shipped to Canada). But there are others I'm sure.

Glad you had a good experience with KEF CS. They were lazy ************ with me. Not a good experience at all. Glad though, because Om Audio are great and a better sounding IEM with great ergonomics and comfort.

Such a shame you had a totally different experience with them. Do you still have them? I may be able to refer you to someone from KEF who might be able to help...

No. I gave them back to the seller, and they issued me a full refund. I got the OM Audio hybrid, and the DUNU DN-1000 coming in, so I'm really not interested in getting the M200 anymore. Thank you for the offer though. Much appreciated.

All good mate... great choice on the DN-1000! You won't regret it!

Thank you for the suggestions.

I'll also order some comply Tx500 and give them a try.

I Just found it disappointing that KEF did not provide better fitting ear buds, or a greater variation in sizes that came in the box.

i actually heard differently,

now i don't own the kef m200s but i was reading on the other thread specifically the monoprice 8320 (which many users have commented on using double or even tri flanges to improve the somewhat recessed treble)

i find that if anything the bass would decrease as you go farther away from the eardrum (i personally tried this little experiment with a pair of sony hybrids (both the orange and the green seal for me oddly)

this was done on my monster turbines and the small orange ones because it would go deeper in my ear made the sound more congested and made the bass bigger and a overly dominant and the mids become recessed and even the decently extended treble lost some of that extension to me

once shifted to the bigger size, (the greens) the bass become more tame (its still bassy) the mids were able to breathe more clearly, and the treble has good extension

also regarding the tips i'm curious on the tips that fit the m200, they have a huge nozzle similar to my jvc fxd 80s. and i can't find many tips that fit such a WIDE nozzle i would have to stretch the tips a lot to fit and even then as i insert them in my ear the tips would shift back and not grip the nozzle well.

the stock tips fit me okay but as always i feel like the seal could be better

The UE silicones are great for big / wide nozzles, as are the FXT90 tipS.

Haven't tried all of these, but I use the Complys and they have done really well with these iems.
