I've got myself quite a good speaker rig now. I've got some good speakers, a good amp, a good CDP, some power conditioning, but I'm still not there with speaker cables or interconnects.
I'm wondering if anyone in the GTA would like to come by and audition some good speaker cables/interconnects.
I make this offer because recently Aerius came over, along with another Headfi member and we listened to the new speaker wires that Aerius had made out of magnet wire, in Litz braids.
We all noted the same improvements: increased depth, smoothness and musicality. We played tunes switching the cables back and forth and all seemed to arrive at the same conclusions.
That is....until we decided to try it blind, and discovered that we couldn't tell them apart AT ALL. It was quite a shocker, because I'm quite the skeptic myself, and I thought that we had all independently arrived at the same conclusions.
But I'm still not closed-minded about cables, so if anyone has a pair of well known good cables that they could bring over, and wants to listen to some music on a great stereo and perhaps have a beer or something, I'd be very glad to entertain them!
