Need help looking for Speaker cables

Hey all!

It's time to upgrade my speaker cables. I've been using Zu cable Julian for my speakers and sub. What I'm looking for now is a pair of biwire cables for the speaker that are neutral, tight with the bass (even lean) and decent extension up top. All for less than $300.

I've heard a lot of good things about Analysis Plus Oval 9s and Kimber 8TC. You should be able to find either on Audiogon in Bi-wire form in your price range. Happy searching!

Nordost Blue Heaven around $200/ 2 meter used. This one $315 for 2.5 meter biwire. I like the BH very much.

Darkclouds,

I've spent a good deal of time with the 8TC and can say pass. Its good cable, but there are much better options for the money.

I know your looking for a bit more top end energy so the Nordost recommendation is likely a good one, as in my experience their balance/tonality has been trebly. Also, you might check out the Grover SR Speaker cables. I've got them on my VR-1s and adore them. There aren't many reviews on them, but the few who own them are all fans.

Grovers a good guy and offers a trial period as well. In your price range 2 runs (for bi-wire configuration) should be attainable.
