What am I doing here? Head-fi is too addicting.

I'm getting 4 hours of sleep doing homework, but I'm still checking head-fi!

Damn my school. Why does a high school have so much homework?

Yup. I guess I'm still really young. Going to Deerfield Academy currently.

I feel like even if I ban myself, I'm still going to check head-fi everyday.

When are you getting your HD600 back? Were you getting them balanced?

Ahh I see. I was under the impression that you were a college student :o.

I lent my hd600s to Vampire5003 so that he can compare his hd650s with my hd600s on his nfb-10es2. Then he's gonna send his hd650s to me along with my hd600s when he's done. Hopefully by Saturday I guess.

I already had my balanced cables a few days after I received my nfb-10es2 :D

Not really feeling for the k702s. While the soundstage is very wide, it just doesn't feel coherent. Mids don't have enough weight or presence in the k702's huge soundstage. I think the UERMs really just does the whole clarity and spacious thing perfectly without being bright at all. I haven't heard any of the totl headphones to compare though. I'll probably just give up on finding a pair of dt880s since I'll likely not like them since I don't really like the k702s too much. I used to love the dt880s though, back in my early audiophile days.

Hmm. So which one do you prefer, k702 or 940? I guess you don't like bright sounding phones(though both K702 and 940 are bright). Both the K702 and SRH940 benefits from bass vent mod or even my foam mod. Feel free to remove(just don't loose them!) the piece of foam in the SRH940(it's in the drivers). The bass gains bit more weight and creates a more natural sound.

Hmm that's a bit hard to say. I think I might prefer the 940 when EQ'd. I prefer the mids on the 940 over the k702 and I feel that the 940 has a bit more bass too. It's strange, I used to love bright headphones but after I got the hd600s, it's hard for me to like bright headphones xD

Lol. I don't know about my preference too. I thought I liked bright headphones, but I like warm headphones too. I like most headphones, as long as they have good mids. Mids are key to me.

Same here... you need a good sound stage too though.  I just can't do small soundstages.

I don't mind intimate sound, as long as they have a capable stage that gets wide when the song calls for it.
