Getting my listening sessions back! I fell in love once again. You guys have no idea how happy I am. I was on the verge of giving up being an audiophile. Now it's back to normal(saving money for audio gears). Next purchase for me is likely a DAC with optical in. Any DAC that has flat sound and small size for under $300?

Sorry Jimmy. I just want to keep the budget under $300 at cost. More like $200 really. You were selling your DAC*it to fund for something, right?

Yep, the dac*it and little dot are being sold to fund the NFB-10ES2. The total for the NFB was $650 so even if I get a total of $600 for both the amps, then I'd be pretty happy to get a significant(?) upgrade for only $50.

Yeah. That's a huge upgrade for $50!

dx50 received! Victor, the UERMs sounds great straight out of the dx50 and improves slightly when using line-out to the uha-6s, but probably not worth carrying around most of the time imo! There are quite a few bugs and fixes for ibasso to workout, but it is quite functional as of right now. I do miss my rockbox though! For now, I will listen to random songs on the dx50 straight to my UERM to get a better feel for the sound, especially since the sound changes with firmware releases.

How's the response speed? Is it responsive? I'm pondering if I should mod my AK100 or buy a X3 or DX50(though I won't for a while). I really love AK100 with most of my things, but not UERM. I need my uha-6s to get the trebles on UERM.

I've also been thinking about selling AK100 and getting a AK120, but the price difference is too big. Since I don't wear UERMs outside, a good DAC seems to be like a good option too.

I'm just confused about what to buy next. Sony H3 interests me as well.

The touchscreen is very responsive, but the speed when changing tracks could be a bit faster. Not a huge complaint but hopefully a future firmware can speed this up. Also it takes a while to scan my 32gb card (16gb filled), but I don't need to do that too often. However sometimes when the dx50 freezes and I have to do a reset, having to rescan my card is a pain.

That's a pain. IDK. I really like how AK100 is really nice and smooth when it comes to UI and response. Does the DX50 get hot?

Nope, it doesn't get hot at all.

That's good. I wonder how they compare with AK100.

Let me know what you think of it.

I guess it's one of those horrible ibasso ui. Anyways, how neutral are they? Flat or just natural? Nice review btw.

Probably leaning more towards natural than neutral atm, but still very close to neutral based on my experiences.

I've been using the MDR 7550 mainly nowadays.

1. It doesn't need an amp to be used with AK100

2. It has warm sound, so I don't get tired from listening.

3. H-200 is bit too harsh, unless modded.

I'm seriously considering selling the H-200 now.
