thats what he means i'm pretty sure. the simple one he's referring to is the NO button version (aka the plain audio cable one)

the 3 button is for ios devices, if your using android devices (at least for me on my s3) i can't take calls with the mic, and no volume buttons. either

however i was able to play, pause, skip and rewind songs.

Oops, I forgot, the plain one has nothing, and the other one with buttons is for iDevices.  If you only have an Android device, then the controls are useless.

hi guys in case anyone is interested again with the momentums and amperiors and Momentum on ear comparison i made a thread about my comparison between the three.

this thread is to answer any and all questions regarding the three top of the line portable headphones in its entirety (sound, build, isolation etc) and to compare them with each other as well.

i hope to see you there!

I was in Best Buy yesterday (in Atlanta) and the Momentum On-Ears were on sale for $99 (in ivory--to be honest I don't even know if they come in other colors.)

I only gave them a brief listen and I like them, but them I'm a fan of the Sennheiser house sound. Anyway if you're looking for a deal this sounds like it. Curious if this was a local store trying to clear inventory or others are finding the same thing locally.

Cheers!

Saw them at Best Buy in Durham, NC for $99.  They had the black and ivory versions.

For peeps looking for deals on these, Amazon seller adgtron has them used-like new for $69. I've bought from them a bunch before (got my hd650, hd598, and Momentum Over Ear from them) and they are a Senn authorized dealer. So that's a really terrific deal

Same here. I was traveled to Durham over the weekend and picked up a set of the MOE's for that price. What a deal. I think I got the last pair. As many have mentioned, these do have a bit heavier handed bass treatment, BUT I think that much of it has to do with the source material and not with the headset. When I listen to music from the 1980s and 1990s that I've ripped to 320cbr, 256vbr and FLAC, they sound fantastic and pretty balanced. However, if I dare listen to any of the newer recordings or 'remastered' recordings, it's clear that the bass can occasionally be quite noticeable. Much of the blame lays at the feet of crappy earphones on the iPod generation and producers attempting to offer them a fuller (read bass heavy) sound. Nevertheless, I don't find the bass annoying; rather I take the viewpoint of other posters herein who just called it a bit more fun. FWIW....

Hi guys,

Just want to share that there'll be a couple more MOMENTUM On-Ears to choose from come November. Check out the link below:

Only a cosmetic difference?

A major difference would be the cable. The MOMENTUM On-Ear Ingress comes with a standard detachable cable that features a 3-button remote control and integrated mic for Samsung Galaxy and Android devices. However, you could also order another cable for your iOS devices.

Will it be possible to buy the android cable separately as well? I already own the original on ear and would love to be able to get a 3 button android cable.
