Hi all,

First post on the high-end form as I've recently moved to better 'phones.

I have a Senn 800, Beyer T1, and Ultrasone Ed8 with Whiplash TWag v2. I get to keep two of them, what's your opinion on which headphone gets the cut? One word answers are fine, but feedback is also welcomed. Thanks!

Should it not be your opinion that counts.

You say you have all 3 so you are the best judge to decide.

Yeah, I know its due to personal preference, but I was wondering what other members thought was the "worst" headphone of the 3. Personally I'm leaning to sell the T1's.

Ditch the ultrasones.

If you are looking for other peoples opinions then I can safely say which one the majority will recommend you sell. wink_face.gif

Oh.. there we go Wink has started it off.

really? i like the ultrasones cuz they're the only high-end portables, and its on the market with that kinda "speed" (but people on this forum seem to underrate it). Also the cable job was like $360 into it..

You get to decide
Keep the two you enjoy or will use more
Once you start to enjoy the music , memory of the sold one will be long gone
But this will only work if you
stay off headfi smily_headphones1.gif

Sold the Beyer T1's. Am I the only guy on head-fi who passionately hates the linearity of the T1 and the headphone itself? Sorry if I just offended anyone.

i love the T1's, those would be the headphones i would sell last. but the T1's aren't for everyone. btw, why did u ask which u should keep if you don't like T1?

was just looking for opinions, since i needed to sell one of the three -- maybe i just don't have the right amp for the T1..

You'd think for $1500 (recent price drop on the fostex) they'd make a decent stock cable. Clearly wasn't the case with the ultrasones >.<

I guess only the HD800 has that going for it, the stock cable is excellent (albeit $300 to replace)

So with your recommendations that he ditch the Ed8 and replace it with the TH900, which of the two should he use as his portable?

Don't you see it was a joke .zz
